Leaving on a Jet Plane
We made it safely on the drive to Atlanta -which is quite a feat given our track record driving through the ATL. We are getting ready to get on the shuttle to take us to the airport. We have so many suitcases, it's embarressing -oh well! Once we arrive in DC, we have a 6 hour layover. Then we leave this evening around 8:30pm to fly out to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Mom keeps telling me it's "two more sleeps!" until we get our girl! We will be landing in Addis around 12:00pm our time (back home) -so think about us when you're getting out of church! If I have an internet connection, I'll try to post in the airport!

Hey guys! Just wanted to say we are praying for you and can't wait till you get back. Leona was glad to hear that you had made it okay but still worries. I told Curtis she will still be worrying when you guys get back, it is in her nature. We have snow here and there is no school Monday. So you can count on another day with your beautiful little girl. Isaac is sick and I an constantly cleaning up after Curtis, Richard and Isaac. I still think Curtis is the hardest one to clean up after. I don't know how Pansy does it. Again we love you and look forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteAnxiously waiting!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd praying :)

Richard told me this evening that they talked to Stephani's father and you'll had safely arrived. I guess by now you'll have spent some time with your little girl. I hope she is warming up to and responding well to you'll. We have been following the blog for a couple of weeks and her pics are beautiful. You'll and she are blessed as you begin your lives together. We are thinking of you'll as you are there and hope and pray that all is going according to plan.
ReplyDeleteAll Curtis could talk about Sunday during prayer request was how he was going to survive while Pansy was gone. He seemed concerned about meal preparation but I have a feeling Kandace is taking care of him and Richard and Isaac ! Triple Duty ! Looking forward to your next post when you get internet connection !
Praying for safe travels for you guys. Be blessed!
ReplyDeleteOK I can't stand it!!!! Where are you now???? Have you seen Lydia??? Is she everything you thought she would be??? I know you are so busy and you have no time to blog but know that I am thinking of you all the time....I mean all the time too! ((HUGS)) Toni Lynch Your guru case worker from CHI
ReplyDeleteWe heard today by way of Stephani's Dad(who received a call from Stephani's Mom, we think) that they had a great second day and that Addie(sp?) stayed with them most of the day and ALL of that night- which is good because the people at the orphanage told them to not expect Addie to go and stay with them until the 3rd or 4th day. So things from what we have heard are going real well.
ReplyDeleteWe heard from Ben yesterday(Friday). And everything is still going great. They got Addie's visa and passport, so they got an earlier flight out. Now they are leaving Ethopia on Sunday and will arrive in Atlanta around 3 PM on Monday. Again they may drive back to Sevier County that evening or may wait until the next morning(Tuesday) to drive back. It will just depend on how everyone feels on Monday. Keep them in your prayers, they are almost home.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. That's great that they can come home earlier than planned.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for you guys to get home!! I have thought about you all every waking minute. Everytime Tony gets on the computer he automatically says "No I haven't heard from Ben today." I hope you all have a safe trip home, and that everyone is well. I keep you in my prayers, and would like for you to do the same for me. Elijah goes into the hospital tomorrow for some tests on his tummy. We will get to come home on Wednesday sometime that afternoon. I will call you guys or e-mail the first chance I get.
ReplyDeleteDaddy(Curtis) heard from Mom(Pansy) this morning between 10 and 11. And they were in Washington D.C. on their way back home.
ReplyDeleteEveryone arrived safely back at Home last night around 9:30 PM. They Dropped Mom(pansy) off at the house and we all got to see Addie, she was asleep. Then Ben and Stephani took Missy home and then went home themselves. Ben called Mom this morning and told her that Addie had slept until around 2:30 AM and he had got up with her and they played for a little while and then she ate and then they went back to sleep around 4:00 AM and she slept until almost 7:00. Their plan today is to try and get her in to see a doctor because she still isn't feeling well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that they are safely in East TN!!!! Thank you for the update.
